Shoeshine Man Arrested for Sell Marijuana At Logan Airport

Anthonhy Scott 47 of Dorchester, Massachusetts was arrested by the Massachusetts State Police for selling marijuana at Logan Airport. Mr. Scott had worked at the shoeshine stand within Terminal C. After recieving a tip that Mr. Scott had been selling marijuana the Massachusett State Police began their undercover operation. Mr. Scott is alledged to have sold $20 worth of marijuana to an undercover trooper twice and was observed selling marijuana in the airport food court.

Mr. Scott was arraigned on three counts of distribution of a class d substance in the East Boston District Court. Mr. Scott was held on $1000 cash bail and ordered not to go the Logan Airport.

Distrubution of marijuana is still a misdemeanor criminal offense. The Massachusetts law is as follows:
Section 32C. (a) Any person who knowingly or intentionally manufactures, distributes, dispenses or cultivates, or possesses with intent to manufacture, distribute, dispense or cultivate a controlled substance in Class D of section thirty-one shall be imprisoned in a jail or house of correction for not more than two years or by a fine of not less than five hundred nor more than five thousand dollars, or both such fine and imprisonment.
