Rockland Man Arrested for Stabbing 16 year old
Roberto Perez, 18 of Rockland, Massachusetts was arrested after he allegedly stabbed a sixten year old boy Saturday night. The victim who was stabbed three times had to be airlifted to a Boston hospital. Mr. Perez was charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is to be arraigned Monday morning in Hingham District Court.
Mr. Perez is facing very serious charges. Both charges Mr. Perez is facing a felony charges. Now he will be arrainged in the Hingham District Court but the Plymouth County District Attorney could easily decide to indict the case. That means that by indicting the case the case would move from the District Court to the Superior Court. Superior Court can then sentence to the Massachusetts State Prisons where District Court can only sentence someone to a County Jail.
