RMV Adds $5 "Counter Fee" Day Later Drops It

The Massachusetts RMV will not be going ahead with the planned $5 fee they had planned to impose. The fee was to be imposed if you did business with a live person versus doing either with an automated system or online.

I understand the Commonwealth is really strapped for money but this had to be an all time low. The RMV thought it was okay to charge $5 more to talk to a live person. As if fees are not high enough already.
