Conviction Rates by Counties
The Worcester County District Attorney's Office lags all other Massachusetts District Attorney's Massachusetts in Superior Court felony convictions. According to a study conducted by Massachusedtts Lawyers Weekly Worcester county had 34% conviction rate. Lawyers Weekly looked at all of the cases that went to trial in Superior Court and considered a conviction anything that resulted at least one felony conviction. If the jury convicted on a misdemeanor only than it considered a loss.
The average rate of conviction statewide is around 60%. The second lowest rate of conviction is Bristol County.
