Update on Arson Suspect

Horace White, the man accused of attempting to burn down his friend's house in order to get his gold chain back is a City of Boston Department of Public Works employee. According to the Boston Herald, Mr. White was recently suspended when instead of answering the mayor's 24 hour DPW hotline Mr. White was sleeping. The Herald reports that "a supervisor found him sleeping when calls for assistance at a fatal car wreck went unanswered at the DPW's Frontage Road garage, officials said." According to a City of Boston spokesperson this was not the first time the accused arsonist was caught sleeping.
