Patriots Lineman Also Stars as a DEA Informer
According to the Boston Globe New England Patriots offensive lineman Nicholas Kaczur worked as a confidential informer for the DEA this off-season. Apparently the 1.4 million he made last year was not enough. Kaczur, a starting offensive lineman on the Patriots began to work as an informer after being caught in New York with prescription painkillers. In April, Kaczur was stopped by the New York State Police for speeding and found to be in possession of oxycontin. Oxycontin is an opiate derivative and is classified as a class A drug in Massachusetts. Kaczur did not have a prescription for those pills. Kaczur, then flipped sides and went to work for the DEA setting up drug buys in Massachusetts. Kaczur wore a wire during these drug buys. Hopefully when Kaczur has to testify on the stand that he is an informer it will not conflict with the team's schedule.
