Boston Firefighter Charged With Domestic Violence
A veteran Boston firefighter was charged on March 24, 2008 with domestic violence. According to prosecutors the Boston Police responded to a disturbance on Howard Ave in Dorchester shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. Boston police had to stop him from attacking his girlfriend. Police were then attacked as the firefighter tried to break up the fight. Bail was then set by the judge at $400.
Domestic violence is now one of the most common crimes in Massachusetts. Police use little discretion when they respond to calls regarding domestic violence.
